Hey!! I have a water dog!! Pics to prove!

So we went to the River this weekend with some of the fam. Trying to do fishing etc...

The dogs had sooo much fun surprisingly!!!

So I was really surprised cause my dogs "usually" HATE water!! Well Duke ran straight in for the water after we let him off the leash. I had not even taken his prong collar off yet cause usually he runs as fast as he can away from the water the other way!! Then I was worried cause I didnt know if he can swim. Well all dogs can swim right??

So I attached the leash to him really quickly so I could get him out of the water to get the prong off... I could not believe he was in the water!

Sorry moms... I saw a dragon in the water and HAD to go and get it right away! I will sits here till you tell me its ok....

Mia on the other hand still wanted nothing to do with the water!
PLEASE DONT MAKE ME GO IN!!!????

So after letting Duke swim for a while we put the leash back on and moved to another spot cause people were coming...

I am soo tired moms.....

Here I found the spot of sands between these rocks that I am going to sleep in since hunting dragons in the water all day...

So then I just took a funny pic of Mia since she was being no fun....

Great pics! WTG Duke!!!!!!!!

Ohhhh and NOOOOOOO all dogs don't know how to swim right off the bat. Had to teach my Rotty (now deceased - Zane) how to swim - he had to really work his legs hard as he had like zero bouyancy; whereas my female Rotty (now deceased - Dunya) could float all day without having to move her legs at all - she took to the water like a fish Once Zane learned how to swim, I could not keep him out of the water.

The elusive water dragon...

Good thing you had Duke to keep them at bay. I'm sure Mia was just staying back to guard you while Duke fought back the water dragon.

Mia looks good in glasses. Like she just got done reading a good book.

Oh how cute! They look like they had a GREAT time. One of these days I need to take Cher to a river and see if she likes to swim. She HATES rain, but loves playing in the sprinkler and garden hose.

Ya I have ALWAYS thought that my dogs HATED the water... But then I kinda thought about it and then only water they have really been exposed to is the sprinkler (which they hate) and the ocean.... I was thinking maybe he was less freaked out of the river since it didnt have the crashing waves maybe?? Mia is still a chicken though.....
