NEED ADVICE QUCKLY re-potty training

Hi Everyone,

My husband is having foot surgery this week. He will not be able to walk for weeks. He is the one that works from home and takes the dogs out potty every day, and now will be unable to walk at all. I have found a dog sitter that can come and take the dogs out potty once a day for $10/day. We only have a small patio on our condo and I thought that maybe if I bought one of those portable grass pottys or if I can make a large tray with gravel or cat litter, maybe I can train them to go out there until he gets better. I don't think that once per day will be enough but I dont want to waste my money on a portable potty they will refuse to use.

What would YOU do?

If the info in your profile is right, a good walk in the am before you go off to work and have the dog walker in around lunch, then another walk when you get home your pooch should be fine, at 5 months I would expect the dog to be able to hold it close to 6 hours.
