Crate size?

What is the size (dimension-wise) of the crate that you use?

The one we're buying tonight for Athena is going to be 42"L X 28"W X 30"H.

wire crate? taht one should be fine for full grown. Plan on using a divider to make it temporarily smaller for the puppy as she grows. If you let her have that full size crate, it might encourage her to pee/poop in it since she would have so much room to do the business in one spot and move over to another to be away from it.

The crate we have came with a divider and you can just move it to whatever size you want as the dog grows. It's called Life Stages by Midwest. I also like it because it has 2 doors, one on the side and one in front.

Yeah, it comes with a divider. I was just wondering if this is the size that most people use.

Yes

Actually we use a Furrari plastic airline style crate as Quincy's primary household crate. It's maybe a little smaller than your dimensions - it's the Furrari Xlarge. I have a wire crate your size in my SUV for his royal highness to ride in comfort in.

I got Caspers crate at Petco I've never heard of the brand and can't find the same model/color on line anywhere but I really like it

Its a Marchioro Clipper 7 42 x 30 x 31

it's a Vari style crate with wire windows, wheels and a handle (not that I'll ever use those features)

that is the size of wire crate I use, I get the precision ones with a front door and a side door, gives more options when putting it up. In the van though I use large vari kennels, can't get 2 wires up in the van side by side.
I had a buyer with a large crate that didn't have a divider, she used a milk crate in one end to make it "smaller" for the pup. Mind you this lady is a vet, so she was right on the ball from day one- what a great owner to have!

We just bought this iCrate from PetSmart. The 42" model.

Anyone else use iCrate?
