Who says Dobermans don't like water??? I have video proof of the contrary

James, Red and I just got back from a weekend up at my dad's cabin on the lake in Northern Michigan. They have a boat and Red was LOVING every minute of the water!
Red is "King of the World"!
Unfortunately, when I bought his life jacket last year (when he was still a growing pup), I overestimated his adult size and it's too big for him. But it was only $15 and it served the purpose for this trip. Now that I know Red loves swimming and tubing so much, I'm going to spend the $$$ on a much nicer one that fits him properly.
Here he is venturing out onto the tube on his own:
Anytime anyone was in the water or on the tube, Red couldn't be left out! Here is the first time he jumped in. We got him back out right away because I didn't want him to get afraid and not want to go back in, but that didn't end up being a problem!
After many jumps from the boat, he enjoyed paddling around the boat, at least 10 laps at a time. There were times that we thought he was getting tired and tried to get him out, but he flailed to get away and wanted to stay in the water! When he was good and ready to get out, he'd come around the back of the boat, get his front feet up, and let us lift him out.
Here he is chillin with me on the tube
And here is the best one of all - Red actually tubing with James! We weren't going too fast, but fast enough to call it tubing!
Red is so hilarious! I've never met another dog like him
