| Sweetest doberman moment... Was thinking it'd be nice to post those cute examples which would make even the people who are the most convinced that dobermans are ferocious animals go "awwwww".
My favourite moment with Bruce (so far) was when I took him to help me out with the horses and he came face to face with a tiny little shetland pony in the paddock. They were both roughly the same size in height and just stopped and stared at each other for a moment. They then very slowly approached each other, face to face. They stood shoulder to shoulder and stopped and the pony started nuzzling and grooming Bruce as though he was another horse. This went on for a couple of minutes and then they slowly moved away from each other - it was the most beautiful thing - both completely relaxed. I'd never seen a horse and dog act like this together - and damn it i didn't have my camera on me!!!
Anybody else have any stories? |

| I have at least one of those moments with my dogs every day. I do remember one in particular though, Kitty, first litter, in and out of house to pee and poop every few moments. Then instead of barking at me to let her in, she pawed at the door, I opened the door and there she stood, big fat chubby red puppy squirming in her mouth. |

| Awww, DLS.
Nicola, there is a little Mini who belongs to one of my fellow horse club members. He gets soooo excited when he sees Ezra--apparently he thinks "Finally, another horse my size!"
One of Ezra's sweet moments--he lies down to play with a little mini doxie, so the doxie can leap upon him, tackle him and "win."

| Aww DLS that is so cute!
RedFawnRising - that is exactly how this shetland seemed to react to Bruce!
Your story reminded me of another one with Bruce... I was in the vets waiting area and there was a little JRT puppy - Bruce went over to sniff him and say hello and the pup seemed a bit overwhelmed with Bruce's size and shuffled under the seat. So Bruce lay down and just waited for the JRT to come to him, which the did, and they had a bit of a sniff and a kiss, then the pup jumped on his head lol! Bruce surprised me at how gentle he suddenly became - normally he is so bouncy! |

| I am sure that we all have these moments constantly with our guys. With my two there is always something happening. That said, I was lying down on the couch the day I came home from a week long hospital stay with a pillow under my head, when Sydney, my little minx female snached it out from under me( she was mad at me for being gone). I called her several times to bring it back, but she totally ignored me which is unusual for her. My male, Sebastian, who was laying beside me with his head on my leg (he hadn't left my side for a second since I came home) jumps up, chases his sister, growls at her, and returns the pillow to me. Then he just jumps up again and curls up! What a guy!!

| I was at the vet's office with Melody, and there were a bunch of young kids there with a woman who had a guinea pig in a carrier. Melody isn't around kids much, but they descended on her, encircling her, ooh-ing and asking if she was nice. Sort of in response to that, she just lay down, and let them all pet her, didn't move a muscle so they wouldn't be nervous. She's a doll. Lois |
