Since Evo has such a high protien level why other dog foods do not have that high of protien level. Evo is a six star food according to Dog Food Analysis - Reviews of kibble since I also have been feeding Canidae ALS also looking for a new food for Buddy he is 2 years & 3 months old I'm not sure what to feed at this point/ I do feel like Canidae is up to something not good either I find it very odd 1st they are using the Diamond oh the new Diamond Dog Food Plant then changing the formaula of the food. I sent them a e-mail they said they were changing because they could not keep up with the demand of their foods. Ok I can buy into that but if the demand of the food is so great why change a good thing I just think it is very ,very odd. I have also checked out the Pro Plan Selects they do not seem to get a very good rating at DFA.

I was looking at EVO's site and the evo red meat even they said not good for pups...recomended innova large breed...at around your dogs age evo red meat/evo may be good or as a mix?
(dogfoodanalysis said evo red meat not good for pups cause to much protein but the innova food recommended for pups was ranked as having good ingredients but downgraded to a 4 star because there wasn't enuff meat (protein)- kind of confusing...1 doesn't have enuff...the other is cautioned because of to much)
evo is supposed to be an attempt to duplicate or suplement to raw feeding, I guess?
someone i trust said their trying eagle holistic.
not sure what to say...hope some of this helps somehow.

The bottom line is its all about $. It gets harder and harder to find a quality food.
