it has been a crazy last few weeks but ill sum it all up quickly...

i have been at the shop quite a bit finishing our 2006 hot pursuit rock buggy, during these weeks some a$$hole sob pos useless to society person broke into my house during the day... Nariko was ok as she was in her kennel and they didnt mess with her, they did take about 5000$ worth of stuff. so i decide to put an alarm in, about 5 days later the back window gets pushed in and the alarm company calls me, they stat police are on scene but there seems to be a large angry dog in the house.. good girrrrrrl. out of the blue she is now barking when she hears something, i look outsude and its neighbors and such... gooood girrrrl.... i wish she was a year older and roaming the house when these useless people of society came in but also very glad they didnt mess with her. its just so cool to see a dobe go from pup to adult and the deep barks that start to appear....

side note, im a pretty layed back guy but if i ever catch someone in my house you will probably hear about it on the news, my poor girlfriend is now scared and thats what makes me more angry is the feeling of insecurity....

Yes, it is pretty awful to get your house broken into. Hope you had insurance and glad that the dog was not hurt.

So sorry to hear of your ordeal and glad your dog is ok. I'm with you, my home is my castle and no one better mess with me. Anyone coming to my door gets surround sound barking. When i had put my doggy door up friends asked if I was concerned if someone would use it to come in the house. I told them if they saw how big the doggy door was that is what they'd have to deal with once inside, LOL. Although you just don;t know about some people. But I always close it off when not home, just don't want to run the risk of anything happening outside while I'm gone, fence or no fence.
How old is your girl? I found that both my girls bark got deep quicker than my male, his bark is still it not as deep as the girls, even the puppy!!

oh man glad everything is okay! Duchess watches the house...but I think coco is the one that will scare the crap of anyone walking into the house due to his fear...he looks pretty intimidating and ruthless. One time we were sitting in the living room...and we hear the door open right by us...the dogs were barking...and we just thought it was our family friend...so we just ignore it...tell the dogs quiet now...but they kept barking...my mom comes from the kitchen and finds this old woman standing there with the dogs barking right at her...I guess the lady got the wrong house looking for a bible study...lol uuuuummmm...lol it was so weird.
I hope you, your girlfriend and your puppy stay safe.

too bad Nariko was still in the kennel. I bet she would have taught the b@$tard$ a lesson in which house NOT to break into. Once she has the run of the house, you won't need to worry, but additional dobes might help your girlfriend feel more secure - either that or a 12 gauge....

Yeah dobes are more fun to play with...You might get different results when you try playing with a 12 gauge...(Im assuming its a gun) lol

lol well i think one adult dobe is plenty to deter, dobe plus the alarm we should be good to go.... and if one does attempt to get in i want to see some evidence of the pain they were in when they left i know i sound mean, but just dont mess with a persons property
