HA ha so I was all excited because yesterday Saphire loved the beach so much so this time i grabbed a change of clothes and headed down to beach we got out so far and then my dobie disappeared lol only for a second, she sunk like a brick! It was soo funny she was so unimpressed so the rest of the time she just walked on her back feet and let me hold her from feet just like you would with a human, people were laughing and taking pictures.
So tried to paddle but mainly she just drowned herself in splashing but she does like water that is her level lol.

Life Jacket until she gets the hang of it??? Would think if she went under too many times she may not like it at all???Hope she learns how to swim maybe a dog that swims well could show her how it is done??? Good Luck

LOL i was thinking of a life jacket actually, not a big deal though she doesnt HAVE to learn to swim.

A life jacket might still be a good idea, even if you don't want her to turn into a waterdog! I don't think you have to worry about any kind of undertow on Lake Simcoe, where a jacket might save her from being pulled out and under?

No, but Im not on lake Simcoe, on Lake Couchiching, which does run into Lake Simcoe.
Poor little girl is just so darn top heavy lol.
