These are all both common and weird things Duchess does...and thought it would be fun to see which dobes have the same habits. have fun and feel free to add more things.

I don't have stairs so my Doberman can't hang out there. He *is* very well behaved in the car, but that hasn't been typical of my previous Dobermans.

He has "the look" down pat. The smiling is genetic, they either have the gene for it or they don't. So far my puppy hasn't done it, altho I heard one of his brothers smiles, so he might do it someday.

He is a determined counter surfer, but he's the first real counter surfer I've had.

Haha, no way........He spreads out like he owns the place.

Biggest sock theif on the block.....He is smart too, hides them UNDER his big dog bed in the living room, I have to go check there everytime I do laundry.

If he is awake, yes....If he is sleepy, he is on his dog bed, he is addicted to it.

Hmmmm, whats a chewbacca sound?? He is VERY VOCAL though. He is the loudest "yawner" I have ever met.

Not yet, but he is never really left home. They go everywhere with me, grocery store...friends houses...wherever. Very rare that I leave them home, they pout if I do. I hope he is a smiler though

YES! And it is so friggin cute! I love the dobie prance!

He is a big time butt wiggler.

Oh yeaaaaah.

Nope, I have a baby gate up. We just have one big room upstairs above the garage (bonus room or something) so I use it as a "craft room" it would be a disater if he got up there unsupervised.

Nope, he could care less......he has never had people food, so he just ignores us.

All at once! When I pull the treats out, before I say anything, he will come, sit, lay down, bark, stand up, turn around, then sit. It is so funny to watch.

Very, he sits in the passenger seat like a person.

Used to eat the mulch, now he will chew on the sticks in the backyard sometimes. However...today I went outside and he was literally chewing on the tree. Like had his mouth wrapped around the base of the tree (he is teething really bad right now)

lol, Pipers, yes.

I thought he was going to come through the window yesterday when I was mowing. I had to come in and put him in his crate, I think he thought the lawnmower was trying to "get" me.

i have to add to the lay or sit on you when on the couch... ill be sitting on the recliner say eating a bowl of ice cream, she will be hanging out running around, as soon as she sees the bowl hit the table she is back up on my lap givin kisses and the just hanging out, im glad she gives my some time to eat...lol these dogs are the most loyal/loving dogs...its great.

Can we add "bouncing" to the list? Chi does all of that and more! She bounces when she's excited, it's hilarious! She's always done it and probably always will :-) Our first obedience instructor said I should not allow her to do it but I just can't imagine Chi not bouncing when she's happy :-)
She is happiest when she's touching me, if she isn't touching me, she wants something in her mouth (can we say insecure?). She doesn't just steal socks and underwear but remotes as well. We have to search for the remotes almost every single night and most of the time we'll find them either in or under one of her beds!

YES, to the socks, I have never seen her with my undies but I put them as deep into the hamper as I can get them LOL

Most definitely does the chewbacca, I love it, so cute, the first time I heard it I was totally shocked LOL, it was just too cute! Most of the time she starts the chewbacca talk she ends with a really really loud yawn

~Gracie puts her elbow right into my thigh.

~Yes. When we tell her "off" she will try to climb under the blankets to hide from you. That way you wont be able to see a huge lump under the blankets.

~All the time, it is so cute.

4. Steal your socks and underwear
~She picks up socks and throws them around, but doesn't really steal them.

~I think with this question we need to ask, is she a doberman? Of couse she head butts me every chance she gets.

~Not at all. You have to beg her to stop giving you kisses.

~She's my girl, so of course.

~She doesn't really knock anyone on their butts, she gives them one of her tug toys and drags them into the muddy lawn.

~I don't know what chewbacca sounds like so I can't say for sure. But she does make a hourse noise when she sniffs to much, she also can sound like a pig without the squealing.

~She has done that a time or two. Go back to question 8, the leash counts as a toy at times. Lol. (It really doesn't count as a toy but she makes it one.)
