Question Wiskers

Ok here is one for you to laugh at me. I dont know about any of you but when I was a kid I always heard that if you cut a dogs wiskers off they will walk all awkward and off balance and what not, lol.
So here is my question, do any of you cut your Dobies rear wiskers (the ones behind the mouth)? My breader says that she reckomends that they be kept short (for apearence).

Dobermans are generally shown with their whiskers trimmed right off so a lot of us here do it with absolutely no ill effects.

Here is another one, I remember going w/ my dad & some of his friends to look @ coon hound pups when I was a kid. The 1st/ thing they checked was inside the pups mouth to see if it was black. They said a black mouth meant it would be a good dog & they would not take it if it was not black. I also heard this mentioned on that old movie "Old Yeller".
