So I will continue to treat her as one of my own and do the best to try and make her as comfortable and happy as I can. Time will tell if she has any chance at all to live a fairly normal life. We will give her that chance. As soon as I download pictures off my camera I will post some of Sasha here. Despite her condition she does have periods of total joy, playfullness and can wag her stubby just like any other Dobie. She is a cutie. | Oh my, that is so sad. Bless you for caring for her. |

| She IS a major sweetie and DLS, your experience and understanding of the varieties of illnesses and behaviours is EXACTLY why you are the right woman for the job! Also, where you live is puppy heaven! I think about Sasha all the time, miss having her here but I know she's having a blast up there with you and getting everything out of life she can. Yay stubby waggin'! And YAY DLS!

| DLS, I have followed this thread closely, but haven't posted, since I really didn't feel I had any knowledge to add.
But, after reading about her possible brain damage, I just wanted to say a huge bless you and thank you for giving her a chance.
If it ever does get to the point where it seems like she would be better off let go...well, know that what you and Dobekiss have done still matters. It counts that she gets to have love and happiness, in whatever way she can enjoy that.
Proud mama of a brain damaged cat, here. (Bad neuro reaction to Frontline, many years ago.)
With a brain injured animal, just...try to know there are times you will have to put your safety first, but if you can safely get past the current incident, there will be times Sasha can show affection and joy again. Each good day is something to savor.

| Thanks to all involved with Sasha. I too have been following this thread. Poor Sasha, she is so young to have to suffer like this. Thanks for the update. |

Dobermans, great people, trees, fresh air, sunshine....seriously, I have 2 months off right now.

| DLS is an AMAZING woman and doing all she can to figure out what is wrong and what to do for little Sasha. Unfortunately, the vets have dropped the ball with this one, and have not diagnosed some of her major medical conditions fully. Some serious diagnosis/decisions will need to me made in the next 24 hrs...but there is always hope.
Whatever the outcome for Sasha, she will be taken care of in the most humane and loving way with DLS by her side and all of our thoughts and prayers with her.
I am pursuing the SPCA cruelty investigation with the help of the rescue to ensure the owners are held accountable and that no other dogs are in their possession.
Thanks to EVERYONE at DT for your support and concern...will keep this post updated. |

| Please see Rainbow Bridge regarding Sasha. She had to leave us, she'd suffered too much. Our sweet little girl has gone.
