Hi every one. I just wanted to warn everyone living in rattlesnake territory to be extra vigilant. One of the rescues I work with got nailed last night. He's doing ok. But the rattlers are still out there and there was an article in the Bakersfield newspaper reciently about snake venom becoming more toxic producing more severe reactions and of course scientists aren't sure why. Just be extra careful!.

Yes, a friend of mine who lives sort of in a rural area had 3 of 4 dogs bit by the same snake. The first (Daschund) went to ground when he saw it, when he yelped, the second (Pit) went in and when it yelped, the hound went in. They all came in to the vet with big heads, but I am happy to report that eveyone is ok now.

A friends black female got nailed in the face. Needless to say hundreds of $ later. Dog is doing fine. We have rattlesnakes also her in Fl.
