It's been a long while since I have had anytime to browse DT at nights due to a new position at work, so I thought I would say hi and update everyone. Last time I was on here Sasha had been attacked at a dog park by a German Shepard. Sasha's wound on her butt healed nicely, but psychologically she was a little slower to heal. Sasha was growling and barking at every dog she saw for about two months and with her being a service animal and going everywhere with me, we could not have this. I ended up doing a lot of research on fear growling and looking around for a dog trainer that her and I could get back into working with. Well long story short, we found the best dog trainer around and Sasha got her confidence back. I found a local trainer that is world renown for place work and training. His name is Ron Pace and he owns Canyon Crest K-9. Ron has been training for over 35 years and his methods are so easy, but makes training so fun and easy. Sasha and I now take part in his group sessions on Saturdays and are havi g so much fun, it really was the best decision I have made in a long time! I would strongly recommend Ron to anyone who lives in the Pacific Northwest(Tacoma, Washington). Ironically Ron specializes in training German Shepards, so Sasha has plenty of opportunity to get over her fears.
