Ginger and Sampson will each get a treat/bone/hide whatever. It seems Samspon needs to have whatever Ginger has. She gives it up with no fight and then complains loudly when he has both. I have tried having them in different rooms, one in a crate, I mean everything. They will only enjoy them if they are fighting over them. I know Ginger gets the short end every time because for
1: She is a fatty. ( I know, we are working on it. It happened over winter)
2: She is the gentle, lovey of the two
3: I think she gives up the prize just to "B*tch" about it, because when we give it back to her, she doesn't want it. sigh doberbrats are so hard to figure out.
Then there are other times where she is just enjoying an older bone and Sampson takes it. THAT makes her react. I never know when it is the I really don't care, or the, dammit, that is mine! moment. How do you deal with a "I will eat everything now" dog and a I like to savor it for awhile dog?
