Been doin some looking and seems to be many ways. Thought I would see if anyone had first hand knowledge of good method. We have loooads of pine trees at work all down the horse pins and Kade and boss's pup loooove to chase each other around them! He's always got a few sap spots...highly annoying. He gets a wipe down after work from gettin dirty/dusty but def doesn't touch the sap. I'd rather not cut lil spots out every time and I've almost have him trained tree wells are bad for sap/snakes...any ideas??
Any lighter weight type of oily stuff will remove sap--some remove it more easily than others.
Wesson oil, butter, baby oil, mineral oil, waterless hand cleaner (but be sure you remove that residue with a little sampoo or Dawn--regular original formula), Goo gone (remove residue) etc.
Since we live in the woods, our setter/retriever got into some pine sap. I asked a friend who has daughters that are groomers, she said use Dawn dish soap. She brought some over, and it worked great.
