They say dogs memories are short... That if you don't catch them in the act, they won't know what your talking about.
I beg to differ with my dog...
EXAMPLE...
Sometimes, my dog decides to chew things out in the back yard that are not hers. i.e. A plastic cup one of my daughters leaves out, a plastic flower pot, etc.
I'll come home and find said item laying in the middle of the back yard. I'll call the dog out, she's excited to see me, jumping around being the goofball that she is...
I'll walk over to said item and slowly pick it up, at which point, she'll put her head down and meander away from me, almost shaking her head as to say "I know, I know, I shouldn't have chewed that. I'm sorry."
I don't have to say a word... She knows by just my body language.
I honestly believe that if she could talk, she'd have a serious conversation why she needed to chew said item.
What's your moment that says 'My dog is smart?'
