Why is it that he will bark at mothers pushing strollers and the high school chicks running on the sidewalk, but he doesn't bark at the mental person talking to himself at the top of his lungs who keeps walking back and forth in front of our house?
He apparently didn't get the "How to identify a suspicious person" memo :|
We went hiking the other day, and he barked at every teenage girl that passed... but this VERY large man, wellllll over 6 feet tall, with a hoodie and a "walking stick" marched right up to us, and got kissed. I know the feeling....
Elsie understands, cute guy stopped me to ask questions about her, Elsie is all shy and ignoring him... Stumbling very, very drunk man stops to ask questions, she is literally in his lap licking his face and being a cute wigglebutt!
Elka loves strollers. They contain babies, and she loves babies!
As you can imagine, this leaves the adults pushing said strollers less than thrilled, when they notice the on her toes, laser eyed Doberman locked on.
We haven't seen many of the town crazies on our walks (I can I.D. most of them, as I work at the library. We're free, climate controlled, and have both a bathroom and a water fountain, in addition to Internet computers). The one we did see is also a black guy, and as Elka knows only one (yes, I know. We and our circle of friends, and our area, is very white), she was very disappointed when he turned out not to be our friend. She looked at him rather reproachfully, in fact, which again, was not thrilling.
Roxy loves kids and babies, but putting them in stollers and baby carriers doesn't sit well with her...she gets anxious and looks at me like, "Please, someone rescue that baby from that unsafe contraption!"
Elka clearly thinks that about skateboards. She looks absolutely scandalized when she sees them :lol2:
