Cherry blossoms (sakura) are in full bloom at last in my city.

I don't know why I'm so excited.

No matter what it looks, I know where an oasis is.

Can't stop smiling!

Do you wanna come with me?

Yesterday marked the highest temp this year, 25C (=77F). Today's only 12C!
After this walk, Elza found the shady spot on the "street" and lied down. She's such a going-my-own-way dobe.

Japanese people are literally crazy for the cherry blossoms. TV news tell you "bloom forecast" like a weather, from March to May.

Today we went to a park for a rabies shot! It's an obligation for any registered dog owners.

Easy going dog. She insisted to wait for other dogs coming.

Found the blossom on the ground. Girly look.

Thanks to the old vets and their families who sacrificed and lost their lives. Since 1956 Japan is rabies-free.
Give a shot. It saves your dog, yourself, loved ones and vets!

I have a huge cherry blossom tree right outside my backdoor that I have a love/hate relationship with. It is beautiful, but my house is a mess for about month or so and then after that the caterpillars come. Right now the flowers are out of their glorious stage and all over the ground and in my house. The silk worms have started so we have the flowers falling on our heads plus the worms. In about a month we'll have tent caterpillars. I have to figure out how to keep them from coming. After a while they go away though and it is beautiful again with foliage.

My favorite is warm spring nights after a cold winter sitting on my back porch under my cherry blossom tree. When it's windy it starts to look like snow. That is what I love about it the most.

I know that relationship;) The cars, porch and streets are covered with petals. Interest thing is no one ever complains, unlike fallen leaves from the neighbor's yard. I hate caterpillars (whow does!?) so I enjoy the cherry blossom only on the streets or in the park.

You understand well "how to enjoy" the cherry blossom! If you have a chance to visit Japan, look for this season and go to the parks or river bank. Almost all parks plant the cherry blossom. You can enjoy day and night. Lots of vendors and you can enjoy beer outside!

Nice photos get even nicer with your pretty girl Elza, in them.
- now that little blue sportscar, I would like to take Elza for a car ride, and rip around the streets there

Reminds me of the fun my son and I had several years ago, in his Nissan 350Z...but the first pair of rear tires only lasted 1 month ($$ he-he)...rubber treads balled to the cords...car just so light in the rear end combined with generious HP with a stick shift to match...sold that one after a few years, the 2 seater became impractical, but fun driving while it lasted.

Nice car you guys had!

I put Elza in the blue car, Daihatsu "Copen", once to the vet. It's 2-seat and she managed to place her butt in the seat:D
On her way back home, at the parking space of the vet, she refused to hop in!
"Mom, it's too small for me" thing.
I spent 10 or 15 minutes there. Right after the vet showed up outside, Elza hopped in the car!

I was impressed to see my friend's male dobe got into the backseat of New Fiat 500!
