Birthday toy...hmm

I'm trying to find a cheaper (under $25 with shipping) relatively durable toy for mabel's birthday :) I'd like it to last at least a month through her rough flinging, tugging, occasional molar chewing style.

I've been looking at fugly friends but not sure how durable they are.

I've also thought about the teaser ball but would hate to spend the $ and not have her play with it...it's a 50/50 toy.

She could use a new cuz bear if anyone can find that AND one of their crinkle balls...they've alluded me!

I do like bottle covers for her since she likes bottles...but until we move grandma has a no "annoyingly loud" toys while she's around rule :rolleyesww: so the toy would be useless till the end of the year.

Any suggestions?

******* loves the Air Kong Squeaker Bone. The squeaker lasts longer (le sigh) and it usually lasts longer than her other toys. She likes to do the "death shake" with it.

This one probably won't last too long :)

One of *******'s favorite outside toys is a soccer ball. It's not a super expensive soccer ball, and it's lasted awhile. There's also a Chuck it Whistler Ball, but I don't think the neighbors like that one, or her Kong Squeaker balls :)

I'm going to cave and get ******* a jolly ball though. They look like too much fun! Heck, if she doesn't like it, maybe I'll play with it :p

Is she too hard on stuffies? The Mighty Dog stuffed toys are a favorite here, but they are expensive (about $20 each) and no longer last long for us, so I don't buy them anymore.

How about a couple of Planet Dog balls? The Hurley toys are very durable. Does she like food dispensing toys? The Tricky Treat ball is a good (quiet) toy. This one is actually my favorite food dispensing toy: Amazon.com: JW Pet Company Treat Puzzler Dog Toy, Large (Colors Vary): Pet Supplies

Does she like to tug? How about a tug with real fur from Clean Run? Clean Run: Buffalo Tail Tug Toy

We have one dead vpi toy and another with holes....she's hard on stuffies unless they have spots...her vpi cow is alive and well and her Kong wubba giraffe (that lasted a whole year and is now discontinued! Grr) is only dieing from age

We had a tug with fur...Naomi stole it off the counter and killed it...Mabel still plays with the rope but I want a toy she can always have not just supervised :/

she has her chuck its and a jolly ball in the yard, and egg she never plays with and a herm sprenger rope ball so we're good on balls

She like treat balls but it's proved to be unsafe unless I lock everyone else up...sigh so she's getting a new buster cube after I move

KV Supply has the Teaser ball pretty cheap. Teaser Ball | KV Supply And lets face it, you always need something else, so it's easy to make up the $50 you need to avoid the service fee.
I'm just not sure shell play with it....she loves her jolly ball, especially after we tied a rope to the handle but she hates her egg....so I'm not Sure. Hmmm

She's also already getting two buffalo bones from venison Joe's lol and some jerky from a local store just btw and she won't touch antlers

I got Elka an unbreakoball last year....she hates it.

the Kong Squeezz toys are pretty good. The first one I had lasted forever ("dumbbell" shaped), squeaker wise. The second one lasted half an hour. Both are intact, neither squeaks. Elka only cares about them when they're under the couch. She has also had a Tuffy squid for awhile; it's a "supervised only" toy, but it got good hard play for hours at Christmas, and some since, and still has some of its tentacles. We have a breach, though, so stuffing is starting to come out.

The Collar Ring lasts and lasts. They can fit around their neck, you can throw them, roll them, play tug. I have 2 of them and leave them out they are so durable. My Cuz Octopi are almost gone - little pieces end up in the poop all the time. Cuz's - good and bad - lose their feet but the feet are not big enough to cause damage - they seem to bite them off in tiny pieces.

I tried a Jolly Ball and they could give a rip about it.

I got 2 racks of elk antlers from a hunting relative and just cleaned them up and put 2 in the house and 1 in Lana's pen (they naturally come separated into 2 sections per elk). The other is backup. In 2 months, they have taken the sharp edges off and a couple of the points have totally gone. 2 dogs will sit side-by-side and chew on the same rack.
