| Doberman Club Ideas!!! As some of you already know I am in a local Doberman Club. Our club meets once a month and we talk about different educational topics that have to do with Dobermans. We are also trying to get our specialty in November ready. I feel as our club isn’t doing much so I am trying to get some ideas for some NEW things for us to do. I want our club to do some activities together that have to do with helping our Doberman breed. I am sure there are some of you on here that are apart of a particular club…What sorts of things do you guys do as a club? I really want to get some feedback as I do having a club meeting tonight.
We do have a good club, but we’re not doing much as a club I feel like. Any suggestions or ideas, PLEASE throw them out there. |

| It has been a long time since I was a member of any dog club other than the Canadian Kennel Club. But, do you guys have anyone in your club who handles rescue? If not maybe you could bring that up and see if you could organize it. |

A walk about once or twice monthly sounds great! I will mention that tonight. I am just trying to get people together to do fun activities with our breed and to educate as many people as possible.
We do have a club member that is apart of the Doberman Rescue in Greensboro.
Great suggestions...ALL SUGGESTIONS WELCOME! |

| You are lucky to have a club locally.
I'm not sure how many members you have but maybe you could have a picnic at a local park? Perhaps a fundraiser?

| I belong to too many clubs or so it feels, but the dobe ones aren't doing a lot, heck I ended up organizing a booth for a big sportsman show last month and I haven't been with the national club that long. But one idea we are working on at my local all breed club (again mostly me) is putting together an education program for kids, how to behave around dogs, etc- in this day of BSL I think it's important to introduce kids to good dobes, let them learn first hand how to deal with dogs and what a doberman is - I'm tired of hearing parents tell their kids that dobes are dangerous! I think all-breed and breed clubs need to be very proactive, teach our future dog owners! sorry, I'll get off my soap box now |
