Isn't Mars quite young? 5 month it says on your avatar location but I'm never sure if people are updating that or not. If he's that young, transient lameness moving from leg to leg sounds a whole lot more like panosteitis (pano for short) and if this continues you should get him in to see a vet--pano can be diagnosed pretty easily during an episode and they can give you appropriate instructions about management during the episodes. |

Oddly this is the first day since i got him he hasnt whined once | Blitz -- it sounds like you're talking about a rear leg being lame. If so, read my Cobra's story which is linked on my profile. You could be dealing with a tearing or completely torn ACL.

| | Alpha | Thanks everyone. I thought id update ya. This morning started out pretty much the same way we left things last night but after a good looonnnggg nap he woke up acting better mentally, and physically hes been improving aton just in the last couple of hours. as a matter of fact he just took off after the cat like is old self a few minutes ago. I cant wait to get to the vets tomorrow and get his X-Rays done so we can figure this out. |

| | Alpha | Hey dobebug, you were spot on. Mars will be ok. Eventually. Thanks for your feedback. After reading up on Pano. I started feeling a little better, and quit panicking a bit. |

But Mars still has Pano. since the vet visit it has decreased a bit, every now and then he still has a flare up. Nothing like it was at first. The only thing i had to do to help Mars out was switch up his feeding a bit. We switched from Canadie to Eagle Pack, and he now gets a 1000 mg vitamin C tab daily and some supplements from the vets. and finally on the bad days witch are rare now some pain meds i forget what the vet prescribed thou. I wish all the best for you and your Dober Companion.
