excessive dandruff

I need any suggestions on what to do for my baby Diesel who has severe dandruff

I agree with Lexxsmom. I have been wiping mine down with apple cider vinegar diluted with water, and it has helped with their flakes. I also give fish oil tablets and Vit. E. in their food. If they are really flakey then I put a little Lubriderm lotion on them and rub it in.

Thanks he is so beaautiful when i got him i felt so bad his poor ears he stunk so bad also. i took him to petsmart vet right away they told me 50 things that it Could be and 500.00 worth or things we could do to try to figure it out.he looks a lot better since i got him he is very smart and well trained and the guy had a 6 year old red dobe that was beautiful. I am not sure why he let his ears go i never see him itch his ears im going to get a pic of him up real soon

What is he being fed? talk with your vet about any supplements or diet changes. Usually switching from low quality food to a high quality food will make a dog's coat and skin dramatically better (if he is being fed grocery store food)
