| Salmon oil capsules? I want to supplement with salmon oil, but Red and I both hate the liquid that you pump on the food. Does anyone know if salmon oil capsules are available? I thought there was a thread on this once, but I can't find it... maybe it was lost with the hack, I can't remember.
If anyone knows of salmon oil capsules, what brand and where did you buy them? And how many do you give per day? |

| I just buy a huge bottle at Costco. Rex (80#) has environmental allergies so he gets 6 caps a day. Cheers (65#)does not have a problem with allergies, so she gets 2 caps a day...the human adult dose. My two gobble the capsules up in their dinner. |

| | Alpha | I'd get any human grade capsules. Some people avoid additives such as soy, which some capsules have. I give 1-2g daily.

| Fish oil is high in omega 3 fatty acid - antioxident, brain development and helps to condition the skin. I just stock up on canned salmon when Shop Rite has is twice-yearly sale on canned goods, and give her that once or twice a week. She also gets cooked eggs and the yolk does much the same thing. |

| I give a combination capsule from CVS. It has fish oil, flax oil and borage. I line them up in the morning one for each dog and one for me. Walker and I take another one in the evening.
I think there's about 60 in the bottle and the bottle is right at $11.
I don't know if fish oil means any kind of fish or if it's salmon. Is salmon supposed to be better than other kinds of fish oil?

Which means better hair coat, better feeling of well being, better lipid profile and general anti-inflammatory for skin, liver, brain, kidney, etc. - from what I understand from VIN anyway... it's all a little confusing as far as ratios and how the body converts it. |

| I used to buy salmon oil capsules at Trader Joe's. I can't remember how many were in the bottle, maybe 90. The price was really good, though, something like $7.99. I gave him one a day as a supplement and he loved them! |
