runny nose ?

I came home from work last night and duncan had a runny nose, but all day today his nose wasnt runny at all. So my question is if i come home from work tonight and his nose is runny again does that warrant a vet visit? Thanks in advance folks.....

It just depends. Sometimes my dog's noses get runny if it's windy or cold outside. Even though they are inside most of the time, sometimes weather affects them like it does us. Is he sneezing, coughing, or acting different? They can also get colds similar to human's. Is it clear and thin or yellow and thick? If it's clear and he's acting fine, it's probably nothing, but if you're concerned than take him in. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Better to be safe than sorry. If he has runny nose again tonight I would take him to the vet.

I would also check his eyes... if they are red, have discharge/excess tearing or he is squinting, then you should get him to the vet. Because the tear ducts drain thru the nose, sometimes a "runny nose" is actually a sign of an eye issue.
