Possible allergy

We switched Lucky's food from Eukanuba to Canidae all life stages a few months ago. We switched due to it being better (so much talk about it here) and to see if it improved the shine of his coat. We also started to give him fish oil and vit e. Since he has switched he has diarrhea about once a week, I figured it to be a bone or too many treats. So this week he has had no treats or bones. Twice so far he has had at least 1 bowel movement with some diarrhea. His coat has somewhat improved, but still has some flakes, but it is winter here in Chicago. I read about paw licking and he started, well I noticed it a few days ago, that he does lick his paws but not much, only in the evening too...

Could it be the food? or maybe he is eating the snow?

Any suggestions?

You might want to eliminate the fish oil and vit e for now and continue to feed the Canidae. I take it you got a 40# bag.
One thing to watch is the amount you feed. If he gets too much that will cause diarrehea. He should probably get about five/six cups twice a day. Six is what I gave my boy. OR he could be allergic to one of the meats, etc in the Canidae.
Is he also scratching and itching on his body? My boy will sort of roll the skin on his back and shake his whole body along with the paw chewing.

Please clarify.. you mean total five/six cups a day, right? 2.5-3 cups at each feeding (twice a day). We just switched back to Canidae ALS after about a six month experiment with other brands. Stools are little loose, but still first week of switching. also, quincy's eyes are generating more goop than normal all of a sudden. but so far so good on eating - he seems to like it and we like the label and ingredients.
