Eating zippers....

Well, long story short a couple weeks ago Drake had chewed off and swallowd a zipper off of his doggie bed. He was throwing up and peeing blood and when they did the x-ray. Yup! There is was. He had surgery and is great now! Thank god! Reason for this post is so that I can post some funny/cute pics of him during his recovery.

thats him in his makeshift no lick shorts....and then his bitenot collar

I'm so happy to hear Drake is better.

I'd write to the manufacturer of the bed and send them a copy of the vet bill too. They should use alternative fasteners.

It can't hurt!

Glad Drake is doing well. He's a doll. The shot of his teeth on the crate is so cute.

They will eat absolutely everything, everything. I guess we need to put a net on their mouth.

I'm so glad he is ok. Quentin eats zippers also. Thank God nothing has happened to him.

Velcro attached to the cloth (or even just the cloth itself) of a dog bed can cause an obstruction just as easily as the zipper - just doesn't look as neat on the xray (metal objects show up as bright white on an xray).

Glad Drake is recovering!
