large breed food or regular? & breath question...

We have been feeding our puppy Chicken Soup for the Large Breed Puppy's Soul, and now that she's 14 months we're switching her to adult food. Should dobies get large breed food or regular? I was also wondering why she's had fish breath. We haven't changed her food, or given her anything new. She's been on the same food for almost a year, and isn't on any supplements or anything. The only thing different going on is that she was going into heat, but she smelled fishy before the bleeding cycle began. Now it's been 3 weeks and she's over the bleeding, and her breath isn't fishy anymore. Could it really have been related to being in heat? What would cause that?

I'm not sure about the breath thing, so sorry I can't help you there, but I'm sure someone else will. I personally don't think they need a large breed food. Doberman's are actually considered medium sized dog's. So, if you want to stick with Chicken Soup, than I would just switch to the regular adult, and not the large breed. I fed Chicken Soup regular adult in the past with good results, like good clean teeth, shiny coats, and good energy. Mine did poop quite a bit on it, so I changed to Canidae, but overall Chicken Soup is a decent food.

Strange, mine has always smelled like, well fish oil. Not unpleasant, like rotting fish, but strongish like salmon. I thought it was because of the extra fish oil in the large breed puppy food, plus the fact that I do feed him fresh salmon occasionally. But I never thought to look into it.
