| Holter Rental Hey Guys!
I am looking for a holter to borrow/rent in the East Tennessee area. Anyone have any hints on good places to do this from? I used an area vet last time since the clinic I work at doesn't have one, but I would like to just rent the monitor if possible.

| NC State rents holters with technician read results for $110. Additional dog $60. Rental with Cardiologist interpretation is $150. Additional dog $110. NCSU supplies everything – digital monitor, batteries, vest, electrodes, electrode gel, and tape supplies, except vet wrap which isn’t really needed. You need to provide clippers, but I get good results without having to clip. Fedex shipping both ways is included in price and holter comes with prepared return shipping documents, You just need to drop off to a location that does Fedex.
Holter arrives in 1-2 days and results are received usually in a couple of days from return. Both Dr Meurs and technicians have returned calls promptly if we had any questions. Welcome to the Cardiology Care Network |

| | Alpha | Holter Rental Oddly enough I was reading an old thread on here last night about the heart monitors. I saw where the University of Guelph was doing that study and sent an email. Does anyone know if they are still doing it? Sent from Petguide.com Free App |

I notice that things I post don't get a lot of action and that's fine it's not important stuff. Most of it I'm trying to fit in, probably too hard, I just don't want my dogs to suffer because of it. It doesn't hurt my feelings too much but it does bother me when it something like this. I noticed an older thread/stickie http://www.dobermantalk.com/classifi...itor-rent.html
If someone can answer my original questions I would greatly appreciate. I tried emailing and haven't heard.
My dogs came from BYB, not tested. My boy had SOB with a cough when we first got him, they said kennel cough. It continued after a few weeks, he also had multiple worms they did a chest X-ray and it had infiltrates said it was bronchitis and more antibiotics. He didn't get better nor did he diarrhea they then said he had lung worms. Pancur for all three different times. He still coughs after exertion on cold wet days. I would like to get him monitored pls.
So if anyone know if they are still doing this study that would be great!
Thanks
Chris

Calams | I have contacted Gulph a number of times over the past three years both via email and telephone, and have never received an answer. Emails simply go unanswered and telephone calls end with, "thank you for your interest, someone will get back to you." and that doesn't happen. I do believe they are still doing the study. But, I haven't figured out how one goes about getting involved with the study.
There is a list of people that rent Holters here on DT. I posted the link in an earlier post in this thread. In addition, I have just purchased my own Holter and vest and they should be here shortly. I am willing to rent to anywhere in the U.S. Shipping via Flat Rate Priority Mail box isn't that expensive.

| Hey if you find anyone privately who will rent one to you, since we are in the same area, I'd like to try and "double up" on it if the owner is willing for it to be in Knoxville for an extra day if you find a good deal somewhere let me know as well.
Found a vet that offers low priced echos as well. |

| Shelly, I have gotten ahold of Guelph and they are not taking any new dogs. Since we live pretty close I wouldn't mind going in with you on a rental and do all our dogs sometime in the future I will check and see also if my kennel club DPC of Detroit has one.

I, just last night ordered my own Holter/Vest and it should be here soon, like next week! I will let you know when it arrives, and maybe I can finally meet those puppers. If it ever quits snowing!

Does anyone know if they are still doing it? | The cardiologist at Guelph is on maternity leave, which is a year here in Ontario. We won't see her back until October 2013, afaik.
When I last corresponded with her assistant, she said they were trying to hire a second cardiologist so that they would have two again. Don't know how that's working out. Seemingly not good since I have overdue appts and she said she'd let me know as soon as they could see them and I haven't heard anything.

How are they read? Is it a memory card? What I'm wondering is can two dogs be done on one monitor in two days? Or does it have to be read first on the first dog before doing the next?
Thanks again, I truly appreciate it! Sent from Petguide.com Free App |
