| Prayers Needed for Baron's Cousin Could use lots of good thoughts and prayers for Baron's cousin Yankee. The last day or so he was throwing up for my friend. No loose poops but basically couldn't keep anything down. She took him to the vet this morning and they did x-rays and nothing showed up so the vet decided to do an exploratory. They found no cancer or no obstruction but are concerned about what the problem might be. When they opened him up, his intestines are OK, nothing dead but had really very foul odors. He is still at the vet and she is not sure if they will be keeping him over night. Yankee is 7 and his father is Baron's great grandfather.

| He has endured so much and so much support. Good vibes being sent to all involved and especially Yankee!
Hopefully expelling the gasses through opening him will be enough for him to get back on his feet and feeling better!
Keep us posted!

| Just spoke with my friend and they are going to keep Yankee overnight. She is so upset. I feel so bad for her and wish I could help but I now live 2 hours away and can't be there. So hoping he is going to be OK and they can figure out what the problem is. Its not food related because she feeds her other Dobe the same thing.

| Throwing up repeatedly was the only thing Pullo was doing out of the ordinary when he died from Cardio. He was at the vet's 2 hr's after one episode and the vet did listen to his heart and said he heard nothing unusual. A couple of hours later, I felt his heart and knew it was way too fast. Off to the e-clinic where they were not able to slow it down with meds.
Hope your outcome is better. |

Hope your outcome is better. | Besides things like blockage and bloat, this is always my fear, too.
Dax, could he have ascites? I ask, because his abdomen looks pretty full, in that picture.
I sure hope they figure out what's wrong, soon, and it's not too serious.

I sure hope they figure out what's wrong, soon, and it's not too serious. | Thanks RFR. This picture was from last summer. Spoke with my friend last night after the vet called again and still no diagnosis. They think it has something to do with his small intestines. They did have him up and walking around a bit. Waiting for a call this morning. In that picture he was weighing about 88 pounds. He is down to 78 pounds. Baron goes between 76 and 80 pounds and is a lot smaller boned than Yankee.
Thanks everyone for the support. My friend said Miley was walking around the house looking for him.
