Josey is eight months Christmas day. Months ago I noticed a thin strip of hair on her back about two inches long or so. She runs around and plays with my best friend's three year old Blue Heeler a lot so I figured it was just from rough housing. She is growing rapidly and I'm not sure if it's just me or the fact that she is growing so much, but the patch is still there and seems like it may be getting a little larger. There is also a bald spot on her nub from where her tail was docked where hair has never grown back. I only feed her quality food where the first ingredient listed is not "corn" and she is otherwise a healthy, happy pup. Any ideas?
i cant comment on it as i have no experience of it nor am i a vet but if you put a pic up then some of the other members might be able to help a bit more.
Ive seen bald spots on the end of a dock before, i imagine thats just scarring, maybe it was done too late? cant really say with any validity.
Id go for a totally grain free food, that seems to be a general rule, its a raw diet or at least grain free
