We took our 6yro female Denali to the vet last nite because she was acting funny so the vet took blood and is testting her for her Thyroid and Liver .. her liver enzymes were in the 1800's so tonite my husband takes her back because she was acting really different and now her heart arrithymia is around 250.. so they are going to do a ultrasound in the morning and go from there. Ive been reading some of the posts and Im balling I cant take this my heart is just breaking

I feel for you,I lost my heart dog to DCM earlier this year. I hope it isn't that. You will get good support on here as so many of us have been in your shoes. Good luck,keep strong.

Are you going to a cardiologist? She should have an echo and 24 holter done also. I know it is hard, but try to stay calm until you get all the results. Hoping and praying she is OK.

Ultrasound being done today @ 11am the vet has started her on a minimal dosage of thyroid meds Ive been praying all nite thanks for your thoughts and kind words will keep you updated. My husband is picking her up today at 3 after he goes over everything with the dr. Encouraging words from the vet last nite

Sorry to hear that... hopefully it will all be fine... guelph UN has tested the thought of thyroid and cardio They found no connection between the two.

Update on Denali: The vets thought her heart was worse than it actually is... the results show that she is in the very very early stages of heart disease and she has issues with her thyroid. Taking her back in 4 weeks for a follow up.

She is home and has no restrictions. She is on 4 types of meds 2x per day she is eating and drinking normal and of course she took back her spot on the bed so Im sleeping on the edge which is the only way I know how . Jager was very excited to see her sissy yesterday couldnt stop howling mom was crying tears of joy when I saw her at the door to greet me. I/ we will enjoy them both as long as I can and whatever they want to do they can as long as I get my puppy snuggles .. Hearing her bark this am was a true blessing! Thanks for all your kind words and prayers!
