Post spay of the older breeding female

Syd is doing really well.

Yesterday I noticed her peeing multiple times, and again today.

During the night, she peed (and pooped) in the house.

I understand that this is common after spay, more so in the pups it seemed, so just wondering if it is similar with the older girls. I'll collect a urine sample and take it in anyway.

Either way, I'm happy to hear she is doing much better. I have been hopping on and off to see how she was doing. Thanks for the update

Her peeing may actually be incontinence, which is a common post-spay phenomenon. After you have ruled out uti and other possibilities try out natural remedies. You can see my post on Natural/Herbal remedy for Incontinence. Also make sure that your dog gets regular exercise. Ours are indoor dobbies (6 and 8 year old), but we spend about an average 2 hours each day walking outside. We take them out multiple times (4 - 6). Good luck!

Oh, I am well acquainted with spay incontinence......

Syd seems to be good. Skidney Beans....lol....

That's a dental chew back by her booby area......and they are shrinking....like empty envelopes slapping on the stairs now!!!

Was it stump pyo? Flirt got that also. It took 2 rounds of baytril to clear it up But no surgery at least!

I spent some time reading your thread about it. No, it certainly wasn't pyo.

The vet actually diagnosed that over the phone of all things. He had both me and Deb Romans scared crapless, she had never even heard of such a thing.

She had a round of Clavimox anyhow, but the discharge appeared to only be natural leftover blood making it's way out and only lasted a couple days.
