| Thanks for the up date the reason every one is concerned is because you seemed to be taking a possible obstruction very lightly. An obstruction is deadly you only have hours to get them to a vet Doberman's have the nick name dober goats they can eat things you cannot imagine so that's why everyone was concerned. Some times a dog will have to have part of there intestines removed because it has died, they can only remove so much then the dog needs to be put to sleep they can not have a quality life.Glad they found out the problem Rays & Hugs to your Fur Kid. |

Giardia? Coccidia?
And, here is the anti-LOL translation of the information you just posted: The puppy presented in such a critical and unstable condition, after days of being very ill, that he was unable to remain conscious in even the over-stimulating setting of a vet's office. The staff did what they could to reverse the pup's extreme dehydration by giving fluids and stabilizing his condition.
He was sent home on meds, likely because his owner refused hospitilization.
They anticipate the need for more fluids soon, as his condition was so severe.
All crossables crossed that you actually take him back for his re-check as scheduled, and follow-thru with any further needed tx.

and my puppy is crate trained when im not home and if he isnt in the crate he is in my lap.. no one knows him better than me which is why i knew he didnt eat an object.. hospitilization was never given to me as an option at the vet.. he ate for the first time yesterday after a day of medicine i went back today for more fluids they said it was not necessary. he ate three bowls of food today and his stool is looking good. the vet said he was falling asleep on the table because he was tired...... and i quoted the above because i do not think it is necessary for you to be so rude... so i think you owe me an apology cause i only asked you for help with a diagnosis not for you to patronize me. As to everyone else who responded to me because of their love of the breed and wanting to help me thank you. My apollo is here in my lap thanking you as well.

| You know, when I took a puppy to the vet, and she was flat out on the exam table, totally uninterested in what was going on around her, the vet and I both fully expected her to die on me. Of course, I took her to the vet within hours of finding her, and seeing how sick she was. I didn't shilly shally around, waiting to see if she'd get better on her own.

Excellent decision making on your part for taking in ten puppies in to a house where a dog is sick and has a parasite.

i took them in and then a week after my boy got sick..
do you expect me to dump them now that my puppy is sick?
the stray puppies have their own area, and they do not mix. i have paid to get all of them there shots and vet visits to make sure they are healthy... |

| You need to take those puppies to a rescue and focus on getting your boy healthy. I realize you know what's wrong with him but 11 puppies at one time is A LOT to handle. How old are these puppies? |

the stray puppies have their own area, and they do not mix. i have paid to get all of them there shots and vet visits to make sure they are healthy... | I expect you to give them to a rescue, as you are barely capable of giving basic veterinarian care to one dog, let alone 11.
Trust me when I say this is a terrible idea. Find a shelter willing to take them in, young puppies will move quick.
How old are these puppies would you say? My money is on under 8 weeks. Every day you waste keeping them penned up together will be detrimental towards there future. Where are you located? Perhaps someone can help recommend a rescue/no kill shelter. I'm not trying to be overly rude here but this is a problem. Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App

| Please also keep in mind that these babies are away from their mom and are going to need to be raised a certain way since they were taken away too soon I assume. I'm not blaming you but they need to be somewhere that can give them 100% of their time and focus on making sure they develop the best they can mentally and physically. What breed are they or are they a mix? There's also the whole finding them GREAT homes. It is a very long process that happens to ensure a home is the right home. It can be very difficult to do that all on your own. |

I'm talking about rescues that will take them to a foster home. If there are 6 week old puppies in there they can't go to new homes until they are at least 8 weeks. This is a crucial time period for them. Has the vet told you how old they are? Have you done extensive checks on these homes you are giving them too? Please don't give away 6 week old babies. How did you find these homes? I can't even put down everything I want to say because I'm shocked by this situation. I'm glad you picked them up but they should've gone directly to a rescue. |
