Apple cider vinegar dose?

What is the correct amount of ACV to give a 6 month old dobe?

lol, sorry didn't notice this thread!! I don't know what the "precise" recommended dosage is, but I've given it to Lex for a long time daily, I splash what is equivalent to about 1-2 tablespoons on once a day.

Many holistic Vets recommend a daily dosage of:

1 tsp (5 ml) for cats and small dogs (up to 14 lb)
2 tsp (10 ml) for medium dogs (15 to 34 lb)
1 tbsp (15 ml) for large dogs (35 to 84 lb)

I saw the same site actually, but for some reason I remember people giving quite a bit more. Can it adversely affect body pH if you give too much?

Actually never tried more and I do use the strips to test their PH levels - never had to increase but have had to decrease a tad on my females.

Actual PH strips - http://www.onlynaturalpet.com/produc...ps/140042.aspx

As for the benefits of ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) here is just one site that lists some of the benefits: http://www.hundmeister.com/acvbenefit.htm I'm not saying it is right for every dog - kinda like raw feeding (which I do)......best to do your own research to find out if it might be beneficial for your dog and if you are "comfortable" with it.

It's also best to use a ACV with the Mother.
