Callouses on Elbows Help Please

In a thread on protection Dillon asked about what to do for Callouses on Elbows I also would like to know what I can do for Callouses on Elbows Buddy also is getting them.
Know if I do not do something soon they can turn hard and be very ugly on a dog.I do not understand why Buddy is getting them most of the time he is in the house we have wall to wall carpet except for the kitchen & bathroom. When Buddy is outside he has one of those Kurandua beds on the Patio know that those are used in Doberman rescue here in Oklahoma around the Tulsa area. Also have a dog house with cedar shavings in it but he rarely gets in it.
His bed in his crate is tied down made of the same stuff the Kurandua bed but also has a folded soft blanket on top of the 4" bed. Have tried to make sure Buddy has soft beds so he would not get the Callouses but he is getting them anyway????

Try using vaseline on elbows it will help soften the skin which will in turn help hair to re grow

My wife just picked up some Bag Balm. I don't think it's really any better then Vaseline, but she swears by the stuff. She also hates the way elbow calluses look.

I used Bag Balm on a rescue bitch I had for bad elbows - worked great. It has antiseptic qualities that vaseline does not offer. The Kuranda dog beds are great - but - without blankets on 'em, that my be rubbing some of the hair off the elbows.

I have yet to put a blanket on the Kuranda dog bed on the Patio Buddy is going on 17 months old still worried he will eat it.Hopefully one of these years I can put a blanket on the bed and he will not eat it,know it needs one but sure cannot afford for him to get an obstruction from eating a blanket.
