| Paper towel eater, help! I have reason to think that Wonder ate a paper towel...what do I do? Induce vomiting, watch and let it pass? Guuuuh!

| JMO, my guys have eaten rolls of TP and i have never had a problem. Grass, paper towels and TP a staple to all dobes diets hehe!! Call your vet just to make sure since he is so young.

| Paper towels are considered very yummy in my house right behind used kleenex's ;-)
I would not worry about it much - one paper towel is not a big deal. Just make sure that it passes.

| I will. I was just reading the thread from back in february about all names of things being pulled out of doberbutts. It made me feel a little better. What a scary reminder to keep peroxide in the house, geez!

| He normally doesn't go after paper towels, but this was his Harley's ear gunk towel. Mmmmmm....

If it happened VERY recently you could give Wonder three or four tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide (the 3% stuff you buy off the shelf of any drug store)--that will usually cause them to vomit up whatever it was they ate.
However--I'm not sure in the case of a single paper towel that I'd bother. Considering the things that various of my puppies have eaten in the past a single paper towel has always just gone through them along with whatever they had for breakfast or dinner.
But if it happened two or three hours ago, don't even bother--it's already out of the stomach. |

| I had a St. Bernard that ate a bird once. She didn't chew it up it was a WHOLE bird. She decided to toss it up on the living room floor to show me. I was not pleased. Anways, I wouldn't worry to much but like the others said call the vet to make sure and keep an eye on him |
