Lame boxer? (off-topic)

Man, we're paying for our vet's college bills in full this month. Cat almost got disemboweled two days ago and now Harley, the family boxer is 3-legged lame. She was in petsmart and did a crazy puppy jump and landed wrong. Won't put any weight on it whatsoever. I'm in NJ and she's in Ohio. My sister says she won't extend the joint but that she thinks it's not locked in place. No localized pain on the leg itself.

My initial (and horrible) thought is CCL rupture. Is there genetic significance of this in boxers? I told my sister to crate her, ask the vet about doping her with some benadryl, and carry her out if she had to pee. Any other suggestions?

May have a fracture if she is not putting any weight at all on the leg I would get her to a vet for x-rays.Dogs are stoic do not want to show pain so it is very hard to tell sometimes.Good luck with your Boxer hope all turns out well your cat too.

Awww, just read this. I'm sorry. That really stinks. What a week you're family is having.

Rayne (cat) just scared the poo out of me and she is in my bathroom now. After 3 years in this house she decided to try to jump off the highest part of the landing from the second floor. I think she's okay and hoping I don't have to break out the care credit.

I hope that both of your babies are alright. It is scary enough when one gets sick but to have two can be heart breaking
