Ditto. Although, I know of one Golden Retriever who was allergic to something in the food and when switched, the "hot spots" in his coat disappeared.

kirkland is made by diamond, but its actually not bad of a food, and i dont think it was recalled (the canned might have been) i have friends who swear by it, and its a good price for a large bag.
Wow -- I feed Diamond. I wasn't aware they produced Kirkland's dog foods. More info can be found here.

More details on the food can be reviewed here.

There is also a web site out there that rates foods. Funny that they rate Diamond's own label lower than Kirkland's.

Examples:

Diamond Maintenance / Score 64 F
Diamond Lamb Meal & Rice / Score 92 B
Kirkland Signature Chicken, Rice, and Vegetables / Score 110 A+
Kirkland Signature Puppy Chicken, Rice and Vegetable / Score 108 A+

Kirkland is a decent food and if I were in a pinch and couldn't afford my normal food it's what I'd buy, at least for Angel (Frank's allergic to rice).

I think Whole Dog Journal rated it as a top food about 2 years ago. I'd feed it if Wonder didn't have issues with grain. Lovely food.

I would feed the chicken and not the lamb though, I've heard lamb can inhibit the uptake of taurine. Not good. I'll see if I can find the article somewhere, it's floating around DT

That's really interesting. If you can find the article or what specific formula it was that would be great. Thanks
