| Ziwipeak..new holistic food Just raving about new ziwipeak dog food, i tries a sample and the dogs loved it and some! it's like a torn jerky that is lightly air dried with heat to retain nutrients.. check it out here. Natural Range Of Premium Pet-food Products - Ziwipeak - Natural New Zealand Pet Nutrition
My only concern is a myth/unproven statement that foods rich in fat can contribute to bloat, anyone know anymore on this topic? I'm a nutrition nut!!
thanks!
p.s prepare to empty your wallet if you are feeding more than one dobe...but the feeding guide says the measuring cup is included and its only a 2oz. cup. so your dog eats ridiculously less.hmmm.

| Sounds like one of the dehydrated foods available. A little goes a looooooong way. Not sure about the fat/bloat myth. |

| it is amazingly, astoundingly, and almost quite ridiculously expensive here in singapore! I would rather feed raw, lol. |

| My dog food store has sold this for a while. I read somewhere that a 2lb bag was like $22 or something rediculous like that. I also read that would last a 50lb dog about 3-4 days. Um......no thanks, I can't afford that.
I'll have to look at the price next time I'm at the store and ask Kim how it's selling.

| It's $119.00 for a 11lb. bag in Ont. Canada
It is not dehydrated as you do not add liquid to it, its really a jerky containing the selected flavour (lets say venison) as well as some organs and connective tissue along with new zealand green lipped mussels, and kelp etc. even though portions are super concentrated with nutrients, i wonder if the dog gets that "full" feeling...mine doesn't but that's due to my english bulldog sneaking into her bowl after his so it doesn't count. |

| That works out to $10.81 per pound - could feed fillet mignon and lobster tails. I picked up a plastic container of dehydrated chicken breast treats in a store one day - looked at the price - $24.95 for one pound !!!!!
Gotta be kidding me, did not realize dehydration was such an expensive process LOL. A pound of chicken in an .83¢ container - OK maybe a $1.25 plastic container, it did have a pop up handle.
Marketing people - gotta love 'em .

Marketing people - gotta love 'em . | Alas, anything marketed for dogs is bound to be more expensive (compare baby gate prices at PetSmart and Toys R Us). We have plenty of dehydrated meat treats at PetSmart (turkey, beef, duck, chicken) that are 100% meat. You're right, it's about $20 per pound, plus the ones we carry are all made in China. But don't worry, they've got stickers on the packaging saying they've been irradiated. Yeah, let me go ahead and give that to my dog.

| Sounds like it would be great for backpacking trips for those that feed raw.
