Thumbs down Advantage Plus - side effects

I haven't asked about this, because I wasn't sure if Logan was just being a puppy .. with puppy 'issues', or if it was being caused by food, or the Advantage Plus ...

My question was answered.
On September 1st, I applied the Advantage Plus (as recommend, and purchased at the vet's office) to the back of his spine.
He's been getting these treatments since June, I believe.

He gets horrible HORRIBLE diarrhea, which is liquid for days.
And I mean LIQUID. (poor little man )
Horrible gas .. I can practically hear his tummy gurgling at times. UGH.
His eyes have never been so gunky.

This lasts a good 4 days.

I know Logan licks and cleans himself quite regularly, and I'm sure he's ingested more than his fair share.

Has anyone else had this?
And I'm really against giving it to him again next month. There is not way I want to go through that, or watch him ..

Any suggestions/feedback/comment on this product? And substitutes?

Sorry for the ramble!

Jackndobe will become famous soon enough
I would discontinue using the Advantage. There is an alternative flea product that is new but worth the try. It's called Confortis and it is a little pill that is given orally once a month for flea prevention. It's like capstar but it last a whole month instead!!!! I hope this info can help you. I personally do not like topical flea products because they seem to get all over the place and it leaves an oily spot on the fur for days. Oh one question for you, Was it Advantage-multi(with heart worm prevention) or just plain Advantage? I have heard that Advantage-multi causes a lot of unwanted symptoms like you are experiencing.
Good luck!!!!
