CPs can be decreased for various reasons, but - IVDD (disk disease that causes compression of the spinal cord) and degenerative myelopathy are the most common. | Sorry I wasn't back on line till now. Thank you Reddobe for explaining why I wanted to know if she could right her foot on her own. I could never have expained it that well. Please let us know what the vet says when you bring your girl in. I do hope she is okay. |

It is approximately four times the strength of that contained in hydrocortisone. Hopefully she won't remain on it too long, as it does have some side affects.
Let us know what the Vet says on Friday.
You are very much in my thoughts. Huge hugs to you and Candi!

| Thanks for the update. I really worry about symptoms you described as I lost a girl to CVI too. It showed up in the rear years before the front tho.
I hope she is going to be okay and let us know what happens Friday please. |

We upped the dose if her symptoms became more severe, then edged the dose back down to allow her to maintain well.
Don't give up.
I would suggest keeping her somewhat "confined" until she is less symptomatic.

I am very hopeful that this can be treated and she can live a somewhat normal life on low doses of meds...Thanks for the reply and kind words from everyone--We appreciate the support it is very hard as she is a VERY huge member of our family.......I owned her since about 11 weeks and she will be 10 on 11/01/08 |
