| This is what I feed, I have wonderful coats and rarely use supplements. Sometimes I do add in a little Nature's Variety Salmon, for the coat but this has only been on one dog who had a hard coat to deal w/. My fawn does wonderful on and any litter I have had has thrived. My black dog's coats just shine!!\
Also this food contains good ingredients and rates well Dog Food Analysis - Reviews of kibble |

| I've fed it in the past with pretty good results. My sister did also. I'd definatley recommend trying it. I used the old Canidae after that, and am now feeding Pro Plan for Sensitive Skin/Stomachs and am having the best results with that so far. They have almost no gas at all now, nice shiny coats, and nice firm stools on the Pro Plan. |

| I am up in the air now--I hear alot of goo things about pro plan...I think chicken soup has a better composition if you go off of the ingredients?????? So confusing-why did canidae have to change the formula and make me change! Thanks for the replies |

| | Alpha | Better than Canidae, smells good. The cat food is really good, and it seems that the dogs really liked the smell. |

So confusing-why did canidae have to change the formula and make me change! Thanks for the replies | Well, I was hesitant at first to try the Pro Plan, because of the ingredients to. After a week or so of feeding it I noticed a difference in the gas issue. With both Chicken Soup and Canidae I had to give plain yogurt just so they wouldn't have bad gas. As far as coats go my girl had a little better coat on the Chicken Soup than she did on Canidae. The Chicken Soup did make her poop a little more than I liked. The reason we even tried Pro Plan is because she developed low thyroid and her skin got really dry and flakey so the vet suggested we try the Pro Plan for Sensitive Skin/Stomach formula. After the good results we saw from it with her, and Canidae changing their formulas, then we decided to switch our other two dog's to it. They are all doing great on it, and it is the first food we've fed that they don't get bored with. They can't wait to gobble up their meals now. With that being said the Chicken Soup may work great for your dog. It is similar to the original Canidae, so you could try the Chicken Soup first, and if it doesn't work then you could try Pro Plan. It sure won't hurt to give it a try. Good luck and let us know what you decide. |

I have Echo on Chickn Soup and she does very well with it, and her puppies on Pro Plan , they look fantastic. It's weird because corn is a top ingredient in Pro Plan, but for the most part, dogs do very well on it. |
