| The fatty lumps are always "loose" feeling, not connected. The ones around the ribs are the worst, you can't sometimes feel the looseness.
We only had one removed which was underarm and affecting movement on our past dobie. They biopsied it anyway, but as suspected it was fatty.
Your vet can aleve your worries. Aleve? (sp....) |

Also, other lumps/tumors can "feel" a lot like lipomas - sometimes because of the mass itself or sometimes because there is fat around a mass. |

| Well, we had an appointment schedualed for this Friday, and the lump is already gone. I don't know if I should take him or not now. There's nothing to test. LOL.

LOL. | You have two Dobes. Does their play get a bit rough? It might have been a contusion. The swelling might have been from blood serum at the sight of the injury, like a big blister, if you will. |

| It wouldn't hurt to go on and take him in for a yearly checkup, heartworm check, bloodwork and all. That way you will have him set up for yearlys and have a record started on him.
ps I would definitely get him checked for heartworms, no matter what the former owner says they have done. |
