How long do you have to worry about Cinnia being around the sick skunk did your vet give you a time frame ? Did you every talk to your doctor for your self since you washed the foam off of Cinnia. Have been worrying about you two hope all goes well for you both from now on.

I've had reactions like that, on all my dogs. It's nothing to worry about as long as it goes down soon.

The vet says Cinnia is ok. If there was going to be a problem it would have reared its ugly head. She has had no signs or symptoms. Rabies is one of the few diseases that you can vaccinate for after exposure. Public Health and my doctor felt that because I used a medical grade antibacterial soap and had no open wounds that I am ok as well (thank god I hate, hate, hate needles!) Thank-You so much for your concern.

I was doing a searck for "lump" and I found this thread. I am glad I did. Sadie got a bunch of shots at our first vet visit, and now she has this lump right where one of the shots was given. I am feeling much better having read this thread. I hope you and your puppy are doing well. Did the lump go down as everyone predicted? How long did it take?

Cinnia's lump did go away. It took about 4 weeks and the vet checked it every 7 days. It went through changes ( squishier, flatter etc..) and it seemed to have moved from its original injection site so make sure you check a larger area then what you started with. Hot compresses helped as well and the vet recommended it. Good luck!

I am glad to hear your girl is ok. When Sora got her rabies vaccine a couple of weeks ago, she had a solid lump that lasted for about a week. I was a little worried too.

I wonder what Center for Disease Control would think about that? It might be worth a call.
