| Doberdog - Apollo is doing really well. He is a good sport about the confinement for the most part. He's eating, drinking, and um...eliminating just fine. We had a couple accidents in the crate when he got home but after we all figured out the new situation we've been good. Today I set a blanket out in the front yard and Apollo and I just hung out in the sun and watched the neighbors go about their day. We have a followup appointment Wednesday (I think) and he'll get a bandage change and some xrays to see how it's all healing. Thanks for checking in on him! |

| I'm so glad he is doing ok. That gigantic cast sure looked like it would give you trouble. Kiss him for us at DT. |

| RedFawnRising - thanks! I love that picture. The minute I saw that I'd caught the action in the pic I knew it was going on DT!
Doberdog - the cast is a pain in the ass. It's huge and bulky and I swear it weighs 5 lbs. That wouldn't be so bad, but add that to the 26 that Apollo wieghs and it gets hard to carry him around. He's can't do stairs and we have 2 on our front and back porches, so it's been a challenge! He loves to wiggle around and try and jump out of my arms at 5:30 in the morning when I'm half awake and trying to get him out to pee. |

| Apollo had a follow up today, they xrayed the leg and changed his bandage. The surgeon looked at the xrays with me and it looks like one of his 3 pins shifted a couple millimeters, so we have to be real careful with keeping him quiet. They aren't too worried about the pin that moved, the vet said that it's always a challenge to keep them still. The girls in the back were all happy to see him, and Apollo got a lot of attention today. When they were done changing his bandage the girls decided to personalize it...here's the result!
He got a cute little heart right over the break
And an "A" for Apollo on his back!
After a long trip to the doctor, Apollo was happy to be back in his yard!
We go back next tuesday for another re-check and to get the bandage off! |

| Aw his cast decor looks great! He looks like he's showing it off - like kids do when they show up to school with a new cast.
"yep, i'm the man!"
glad to hear he's on the mend! hopefully you'll be able to keep him quiet once it comes off! |
