| I went to see Apollo today after work, and man was that hard. He was all bandaged up with a huge blue cast and had the cone head thing on. And he was really out of it, I guess he had to be sedated a bit more because he is so upset about being there that he just wouldn't be still. He was also whining a lot, just really an unhappy little guy. But the said medically he looks good and plan on bringing him home tomorrow.
He'll be crated a lot in the first couple weeks, we have an ex pen already, so I'll be using that when he is a little better. I'm off for the next 4 days, and we'll see how things are going sunday and I'll plan next week accordingly.
I just want to thank you all again for all the thoughts, prayers, message and well wishes. |

| Man, oh man, I bet it was hard to walk away from him again, seeing him all doctored up and whining.
Poor pup, poor you.
I hope tomorrow hurries up and comes 'round, for you, so you can have him home and love him up good.

Now this morning I am just sitting here waiting to them to call and say I can come get him, and I know I won't get that call for at least another couple hours.
As much as I want him home with me NOW, I am also scared. I have no idea how to care for him with this giant bandage on.
Here are a couple pics I took when I was with him yesterday...my poor broken puppy. |

| I am glad he is OK. You will do fine when he gets home. I am sure he will have crate rest, do you have the rest of that bottle of wine???

| My heart goes out to little Apollo. I'm glad he came through surgery alright. I am also happy to see that you have invested in a crate. It's a hard lesson to learn and luckily your puppy is OK but you should never leave a puppy unsupervised with an adult dog even when you are home and especially when you're not there.
Crates are wonderful training aids and a very good thing to have. for the safety and wellbeing of your dogs. Dogs consider them their den and will often sleep in them with the door open. Drago and Mariah love their crates to travel in the truck (with a bed enclosed canopy) and use them when we are staying away from home. It's like their home away from home.
I'm a big advocate of not letting dogs ride loose in the car either. Either harness them into a seatbelt or place them in a crate. The safety of you, your passengers, and your dogs is at stake.
Tracy.
