Lexi's Update

Well...Lexi is on her 2nd week of antibiotics and she was looking good with the red pustules going away, until they flared again. This staph is horrible! I am trying my hardest to get enough money to get her environment allergy testings done. I just know her food allergies and she is hypersensitivity to staph. She must have other things going on.
Anyone have any suggestions on any supplements that would boost her immune system? I have started to give her yogurt on her food daily. I just started that today. I heard zinc but don't know if that is human zinc or a special supplement. She is 82lbs.
Any advice????
I have a page up for her, for people to help me fund her recovery. Email me if you would like to read her full story!

Sorry about Lexi. I hope it works out for you.

And I hope other people will chime in about supplements to boost immune system. We use Nupro and dogzymes.

The people who make dogzymes (Nature's Farmacy) have LOTS of supplements and are very knowledgeable and helpful, maybe you can call their help line..

I get most of my supplements from Nature's Farmacy, and really like their products.

Good luck with Lexi!

nothing beats good basic nutrition to start. The yogurt isn't a bad idea - it is providing the acidophilus cultures to help the gut. Maybe supplementing with probiotics would help too. What are you feeding her now? 82lbs - she is a bit heavy for female? I don't see her but maybe some weight loss to a fitter weight would help reduce stress on the system.

She is perfect weight. Not over weight at all. I am feeding her Nature's Balance Fish and Potato!
I will look up these supplements! Thanks
