Good news, sock is up and out

Yesterday someone convinced me to go to the vet for an x-ray and I was going to take Jake this morning but he ended up throwing up the sock. After all this I am never going to wait even for a day if I suspect he ate something he shouldn't have.

I thought we were careful about leaving things for him to sneak and eat but I was wrong. He took this damn sock out from under our noses and we didn't even notice.

So to everyone, be careful with what you leave on the floor and on the counter. I never thought in a million years he could have swallowed something THAT big. This has taught me a good lesson and I am greatful to the powers that be that this ended up on a pawsitive note.

Thanks to all of those who gave their advice about socks. If we don't have already we should have an educational thread about leaving things out that our Dobies (and other dogs) may eat and the consequences if left untreated.

One time I had the biggest scare in my life i was almost in tears, I had left a can with bacon fat on top of stove and came home to it missing, i searched high and low and couldnt find it, I couldnt believe she could have eaten it but then things like OMG i am going to have to put this dog down, pam is going to be so upset she ever gave me this dog, its my fault i am a horrible owner shes never gonna liv as soon as she starts to show signs of discomfort i will know it is the end, how could i have been so STUPID!!!! (this is seriously what i was thinking)
Luckily that night i found the emptied can behind my bed, I cant tell HOW relieved i was!!!!

Glad to hear your doggie is doing well and managed to pass it ok.
