Took Rudy to another vet because he has been toe tipping and sitting on his side. No longer is he lame. However, new vet found both anterior cruciate ligaments busted. Rudy will have surgery July 9th for one leg and the other leg 4 weeks later. The cost will be $792 per leg. Still a good investment for my pal Rudy. Recovery will be from 4-8 weeks with minimal activity.

wow scoob I'm so sorry to hear about Rudy! At the same time it must be nice to know whats wrong and have a cure all lined up!

Poor guy. Sorry he's going to have it rough for a couple weeks. Good luck with surgery Rudy!

Wow! Glad there is a solution. Copper has had 3. One was a do-over. They were done many many years ago and he is doing great. It was worth every penny.

4-8 weeks on ice.. not gonna be fun. Poor Rudy. Poor you!

But at least it must be a relief to KNOW what is wrong.

Well I'm glad they know what's wrong. It'll be a tough go for awhile but then you'll have many years of healthy happy Dobe. I'm sure Rudy appreciates your dedication to him.

Scoob, I am sorry that your baby will have to go through two surgeries, but at least you know what you're dealing with. Please keep us updated on his progress. Sending good thoughts and prayers your way.

I rehabed one of my doberkids for the owner when she had the ligament Op. it took a lot of care and attention but she stayed sound for the rest of her 13 years.

ooooooooo I am so glad they will help rudy.he is such a sweet guy and way too young to move so slow.

also!!! I thought of you today....I saw a seatbelt harness....nice with a fleece lining 10.00 it is a large fits a chest up to 42 inches. it didnt have weights just chest size. if you want it I will gladly pick it up for you.

ooo sorry... but - so glad it is fixable. I know the downtime will be tough, but it should be a good time to bond even more.
