Angry I guess it's the teething. . .

Hi all hope ur doing good with ur dobes.

Max wasn't himself this morning. A bit quiet and solitary. Just chewed his bone and then went in his cage all quiet. Did'nt really respond to enthusiasm too much like he normally does. Wasn't under our feet atall. I missed his usual in your face puppiness. I don't believe he has any health issues or problems. He's eating like a trooper and looks healthy so I'm putting down to the teething process. I guess he's in a bit of pain. Anything I can do to help???

Thanks all.

Hey - Rainah is going through her teething now too and I sometimes notice she isn't a complete maniac all the time now. I've been freezing her kong with PB in it at night and give it to her when I put her in the crate in the morning. Also someone on here told me to freeze a wet facecloth - and she really seems to like that as well. I think you can use baby numbing gel - but I haven't done that and probably won't. Hope this helps

The frozen washcloth worked wonders for my two when they were teething.

He's perked right up again now. At least for the time being. He's got some lovely new front teeth growing through!! I tried the frozen washcloth (called a flanell in UK). He seemed to like it.

When mine would loose a tooth it would slow them down for a few minutes thats all. They would just grab a soft chewy toy and off to there cage for a little bit then back to normal. One of them bleed pretty good, scared me half to death seeing Bonnie laying there with blood on her mouth. Thankfully it only lasted a couple weeks.
